Kinchaku Bag Workshop - 5th July Camp Bongo, Anglesey
£20.00
Quantity
In this informal two-hour workshop, you will learn all about the ancient Japanese art of Sashiko - an embroidery method based on a simple running stitch. You will then use this technique to decorate a drawstring bag, which you will stitch by hand. Kinchaku bags are used in Japan as kimono accessories. Here, they are useful storage bags for everything from make-up and jewellery to chargers and cables.
The aim is to complete your bag within the session. However, this is a relaxing, mindful way of stitching. If you don't finish in the two hours, you will leave with all the information and materials you need to do it at home.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced stitchers. The price includes tuition, written instructions, and all materials.
