Hand-Stitched Purse Workshop - 8th October, Coastal Centre, Mablethorpe
£20.00
Quantity
In this informal three-hour workshop, you will learn about the ancient Japanese arts of Boro (using fabric scraps to repair old items or create new ones) and Sashiko (an embroidery method based on a simple running stitch). You will then use these techniques to make a purse or pouch, which you will stitch by hand.
The aim is to complete your item within the session. However, this is a relaxing, mindful way of stitching. If you don't finish in the two hours, you will leave with all the information and materials you need to do it at home.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced stitchers. The price includes tuition and all materials.
Please be aware that you are buying a place in a workshop that is happening at 10am on 8th October, 2025, at the Coastal Centre in Mablethorpe. You will receive an email confirmation of your purchase, but you will not get any physical products in advance of the workshop. Please do not book if you are unable to attend. Thank you😊
