In this informal three-hour workshop, you will learn all about the ancient Japanese art of Sashiko - an embroidery method based on a simple running stitch.  You will then use this technique to decorate fabric coasters, which you will finish with a hand-stitched border.

Your kit will include sufficient materials to create two coasters, each with a different sashiko pattern. This is a relaxing, mindful way of stitching, so don't expect to finish both coasters in the three hours. The aim is to complete one of them and leave with all the information and materials you need to do the other one at home.

This workshop is suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced stitchers.  The price includes tuition, written instructions, and all materials.
