In this informal three-hour workshop, you will learn all about the ancient Japanese art of Sashiko - an embroidery method based on a simple running stitch.  You will then use this technique to create a four or six-square panel, which you will turn into a wall hanging or place mat.

Your kit will include sufficient materials to create either a wall hanging or a place mat, each with different sashiko patterns. This is a relaxing, mindful way of stitching, so don't expect to finish your project in the three hours. The aim is for you to get to the stage where you can easily complete your item at home.

This workshop is suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced stitchers.  The price includes tuition, written instructions, and all materials.
